Welcome to Pear Deck! If you're using a Microsoft Office 365 account and want to add interactivity and student engagement to your PowerPoint Online presentations, this is the article for you. It's really easy to get the Pear Deck for PowerPoint Online Add-in! Keep reading to learn how.
1. Open any PowerPoint Online presentation
2. Click on the Insert tab
3. Click on Add-ins. In order to see Add-ins, you may need to click on the three-dots button or expand the browser window.
4. The Office Add-ins menu will open. Find Pear Deck and click on it to install it. This Add-in is free, though there are some special features available with Pear Deck Premium.
5. Once you've installed it, it will be available each time you open PowerPoint Online. From here on out, just go to the Home tab and click on the Pear Deck Add-in. This opens the Pear Deck Sidebar, which you can use to add Slide Templates to your presentation and Custom Interactive questions to any slide. You can learn more about building slides here!
