Welcome to Pear Deck! If you use Microsoft Office 365, and you want to include interactivity and student engagement in your PowerPoint Online presentations, this is the article for you. Keep reading to learn how to get the Pear Deck for PowerPoint Online Add-in! Please note that Pear Deck is not available in the PowerPoint desktop application at this time.
With Pear Deck, you can engage every student in your class, every day. Pear Deck lets you automatically collect various types of input, instantly show responses anonymously on the Projector, get insight into students' progress, and more.
1. Open any PowerPoint Online presentation.
2. Click on the Insert tab.
3. Click on Add-ins. To see Add-ins, you may need to click on the three-dots button or expand the browser window.
4. The Office Add-ins menu will open. Find Pear Deck and click on it to install it. This Add-in is free, though there are some special features available with Pear Deck Premium.
5. Once you've installed it, it will be available each time you open PowerPoint Online. From here on out, just go to the Home tab and click on the Pear Deck Add-in. This opens the Pear Deck Sidebar, which you can use to add Slide Templates to your presentation and Custom Interactive questions to any slide. You can learn more about building slides here!

If you followed the steps above, but could not get the Pear Deck Add-in for PowerPoint Online, your site administrator may still need to deploy it for you. Please click here for instructions your site administrator can use to enable your access Pear Deck.
